On Craigslist:
i'm caught in a rut and need some help. i'm starting to feel very claustrophobic in my social circle and would love to meet someone new to enjoy some beers with. im a 24-yr old professional, went to a good liberal arts college and i have a lot of really good friends here, who all happen to have boyfriends/girlfriends at the moment. im looking for someone similar to me: witty, smart, educated, funny (but not the stand-up comic type), sarcastic, interesting, and low-maintenance. most importantly, i love to be challenged. i've never tried to meet anyone this way and am very skeptical of the characters that will respond- at the very least i figure that i will be entertained by pictures of shirtless tough guys sporting their smooth chests. that's not my idea of "hot". typically, i like the preppy-type, but im very open-minded. it never hurts to meet new people...but please dont be a serial cragslist poster
My response:
Shirtless tough guys posting their smooth chests, huh?

Can't get much smoother. As you can tell from my picture, I'm incredibly handsome, albeit a bit stoic. People say I can be hard, but once you get to know me I'm actually a big softie. I'm also accused of being rigid, but that's only because I stand up for my beliefs. I admit I'm a little old for you (a shade over 500), but you have to admit, I look good for my age (: And you'll have to forgive me. Normally, I don't prance around like this, but I left my leaf at the dry cleaners.

The greatest travesty since Clay Aiken and Carson Daly. And possibly since George W. Bush as well.
